Klaus Schwab, the founder and chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), has officially resigned from his position. The 87-year-old announced his departure earlier this month and it took effect immediately. The WEF confirmed the news on Monday. Schwab’s resignation was formally accepted during a board meeting, and Vice Chairman Peter Brabeck-Letmathe has been appointed interim chairman.
